Woke Coffee Chain That Supported BLM Riots Forced To Close

It’s always “different” when it affects your business, but when Black Lives Matter protestors were on a rampage in the summer of 2020, Starbucks showed them public support.

But after paying for interstate abortions and supporting America’s major far-left causes, Starbucks is now facing the consequences of out-of-control leftism with zero law and order.

Quality of life continues to decrease across the U.S., most notably in cities controlled by Democrat officials.

A massive wave of violent crime has paralyzed residents of once-great American cities as bail reform laws and ‘defund the police’ policies continue to wreak havoc and result in bloodshed on city streets.

America’s largest corporations have now been forced to respond to the massive uptick in crime, and are now making massive changes in order to protect staff members.

Starbucks is closing 16 stores because of a dramatic increase in crime and drug use throughout the country. The illicit activities have allegedly endangered many of the company’s employees. The disruptions have coincided with the country’s soaring crime rates, which are largely the result of radical left-wing criminal justice policies.

Starbucks’s decision was made after employees disclosed to the company’s management that they felt threatened because of customer drug use, violent crimes, and theft, the Wall Street Journal reported. Six stores will close in Seattle, the company’s hometown, and Los Angeles. Two locations will cease operations in Portland, Oregon, and one in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.

Ironically, Starbucks was the company that closed all of its locations for one day in 2018 so it could implement “woke” racial sensitivity training. The “training” stemmed from an incident at a Philadelphia location where a barista asked two black men to leave because they were loitering and not ordering anything (something I also personally experienced at a Philadelphia location but nothing was made of it because of the color of my skin).

Four years later, it’s obvious the “training” failed miserably. The company’s executives thought they were more enlightened than everyone else and could brainwash their employees with woke training to cure what they perceived as society’s ills. However, the refusal to remove any loiterers because the company did not want to come across as “racially insensitive” ultimately led to an environment that endangered employees.

It’s worth noting that all of these locations are in cities with large, bureaucratic, and ineffective Democratic city administrations. Moreover, these cities, like Starbucks’s executives, overwhelmingly supported Joe Biden over Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election. This decision has resulted in agony, a dramatic increase in crime, and a deterioration of quality of life all over the country. Starbucks is now seeing the fruits of its awful decision-making.

Maybe one day, the Left’s supporters will realize the politicians they vote for will bring them nothing — except everything they never wanted. Unfortunately, the employees in these 16 Starbucks locations learned this lesson too late.
