Biden Shrugs Off America’s Concerns, Celebrates Shrinking Economy

In what is the greatest example of gaslighting so far in his presidency, Joe Biden is actually celebrating his shrinking economy.

Yes, you read that correctly.

After days of trying to redefine ‘recession’, a GDP report released on Thursday confirmed White House fears and definitively proved that Biden’s economy is in serious decline. But that didn’t stop the cognitively deficient President from trying to convince us of otherwise.

A mere minutes after the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) released a report showing a 0.9% decrease in GDP, the White House rushed to put out a statement ostensibly written by Joe Biden. The report prompted struggling Americans to voice their rage at the President, who seemingly believes America is “on the right path.”

In the statement, Biden celebrated a “year of historic economic growth” before claiming he wasn’t surprised by the BEA report given that the U.S. is in a “transition period.” He doesn’t mean a post-COVID transition period, either. Biden is referring to the transition away from fossil fuels and toward eco-fascism — a move that’s proven detrimental to the future of our country.

“Coming off of last year’s historic economic growth – and regaining all the private sector jobs lost during the pandemic crisis – it’s no surprise that the economy is slowing down as the Federal Reserve acts to bring down inflation,” Biden said in a statement.

“But even as we face historic global challenges, we are on the right path and we will come through this transition stronger and more secure.”

The Biden administration has been bracing for the impact caused by Thursday’s report for a while now. Officials have denied that the U.S. economy is deep in a recession despite the major concerns many Americans have as they struggle to pay their bills, fill their tanks, and feed their families.

Not only has the Biden administration failed to acknowledge America’s economic problems, but they’re actively gaslighting the public in the process. Economic advisers and other members of Biden’s team have given interviews claiming the economy does not meet the “technical definition” of recession and therefore should not be a cause for concern. They’ve even attempted to change the definition of a recession to alleviate any backlash they may receive due to the depleted economy.

Economist Julius Shiskin wrote in 1974 that two consecutive quarters of declining GDP is a good rule of thumb to define a recession — and that’s been the working definition this entire time. However, after two years of Biden’s progressive spending policies failed to jumpstart the economy in any way, White House officials scrambled to change the definition.

At the end of the day, Americans are struggling. By flat-out ignoring our concerns, Joe Biden is essentially delivering a slap to the face to everyone having a hard time staying afloat in this economy. Seems like a winning strategy going into the midterms!
