Homeland Security Sec. Fails To Ease Concerns Over New ‘Ministry Of Truth’

Are Democrats even human?

As preposterous as that question may seem, it’s hard not to notice the dead-eyed, robotic glare most Democrats have when they appear on CNN to clean up this-or-that scandal within the Biden administration.

Jen Psaki could be the greatest example of how Democrats tend to be dead-eyed freaks, but Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is a close second in the contest of ‘Creepiest Democrats Ever’.

The Biden administration received heaps of backlash over the weekend after Sec. Mayorkas revealed during a Senate hearing that the Department of Homeland Security established a ‘Disinformation Governance Board’ for the sole purpose of tracking “disinformation” online.

Many couldn’t help but see the Orwellian similarity between Biden’s Disinformation Governance board and ‘The Ministry of Truth’ featured in the classic dystopian novel 1984.

A bulk of the concern stemmed from Mayorkas’ decision to elect Nina Jankowicz, a “Laptop From Hell” denier, to lead the board.

Jankowicz is a perpetual theater kid with a strange obsession with “disinformation.” Underneath her smiling veneer, she is an authoritarian tyrant cloaked in the typical trappings of the liberal managerial elite: Over credentialed, Harry Potter personality, respected by the establishment, etc.

Jankowicz is a creep.

Mayorkas was deployed to clean up the messaging surrounding the Disinformation Board over the weekend, doubling down on Jankowicz and ensuring the American people that Biden’s new Truth Board will have no legal ability to trample on First Amendment rights.

“The board does not have any operational authority or capability,” Mayorkas told CNN’s Dana Bash.

The secretary said “no” when asked if the board will monitor U.S. citizens.

Mayorkas also defended the board’s head, Nina Jankowicz, calling her “eminently qualified,” a “renowned expert,” and “neutral.”

Jankowicz, who previously served as a disinformation fellow at the Woodrow Wilson Center think tank, has been criticized for her promotion of Christopher Steele’s discredited dossier and dismissing concerns around Hunter Biden and his laptop. Republicans immediately began criticizing the board, comparing it to the Ministry of Truth in George Orwell’s book 1984.

On the purpose of the Board, Mayorkas said:

“We address disinformation that presents a security threat to the homeland,” he said. “Disinformation from Russia, from China, from Iran, from the cartels. The cartels spread misinformation that Title 42 does not apply to the Haitians, and that prompts, potentially, Haitians to try to come to the United States, and what do we do?”

Very clever wording there, Mayorkas. Let’s see how this shakes out.
