Democrats have a long history of using crimes as a pedestal to spew their gun control agenda onto the American people. Thursday was no different when Biden spoke in NYC about the crime crisis that is taking place in cities all around the nation. Biden decided his best bet was to use tired, debunked, and totally false lies to bolster up his agenda and please his extreme left friends.
Biden’s focus on the rising crime rates in America is totally merited, so no complaints there. However, the way that he has mocked and belittled American citizens that are struggling inside cities that are growing more dangerous, is totally unacceptable. Especially when Biden has left our borders wide-open and fentanyl and other dangerous drugs and criminals are running rampant throughout the nation. But rather than talking about that slew of illegal immigrants making their way across the borders, or the fact that Democrats made a mistake with their defund the police movement, Biden decided that now was a good time to target the Second Amendment and law-abiding citizens in the U.S. who own firearms.
One of the biggest lies that Biden has spread time and time again came up during his speech, “You couldn’t buy a cannon when this amendment was passed,” President Biden said about the right of citizens to keep and bear arms.
This isn’t the first time he’s used this lie, either. It’s just one of a few times that he’s used it to try and undermine the rights of Americans that are protected by the constitution.
Whether or not Biden knows he’s telling big fat lies to Americans is debated, but that isn’t the point. It’s the responsibility of the President of the United States to know and understand American history, especially when using history to make points about their policies. There’s no clear answer why Biden is so focused on cannon ownership, either. This seems to have no relevance when it comes to the problems of today.
Either way, this is a very obvious attempt to give the government power over Americans and their ability to protect themselves should the time come. All you have to do is look at cities like New York and Chicago to know that gun control isn’t effective, and if anything, it increases violence rather than dampens it.
