Acting on inspiration from our friends in the north, there’s now a new group on Facebook called “Convoy to DC” that’s calling on truckers in America to form a chain of vehicles and semi-trucks all around the nation to protest the vaccine mandates for COVID that Biden has imposed on everyone in the nation. This comes after a reported 50,000 truckers from Canada formed a chain of their own and headed into the capital of Canada, Ottawa. The group hasn’t yet set a date for the convoy’s beginning, but members and organizers are suggesting that protests begin in the ever-liberal California and end in our great capitol, Washington, D.C.
In the about section for the Facebook group, it says, “We are part of many large groups who believe in our founding fathers. We believe everyone has a voice. We support our freedom. Help us spread the word about this group and together we all can make it a better place. God Bless America.”
The group has already amassed a massive 90,000 followers and members, which is up from the mere 67,000 it had on Sunday alone. While the group is seeking long haulers and truck drivers to join their caravan, the page is also filled with non-trucker posts that are supporting and encouraging the movement.
The group of truckers in Canada is known officially as “The Freedom Convoy.” It was formed initially to help protest mandates for vaccines that started on the 15th of January in Canada, which required truckers to receive their vaccine to be able to cross the border between the U.S. and Canada. Also, drivers that were unvaccinated would be forced to quarantine after crossing the U.S. border and potentially miss work when they got home from Canada.
The protest is now more than that though and is opposing all vaccine mandates in Canada, it’s not garnered support internationally.
The truckers arrived in Ottawa to attend a protest that wound up with tens of thousands of truckers and people. Online videos showed people marching through the streets in support.
The Prime Minister of Canada has reportedly gone into hiding as a result of the peaceful protests. And liberal media in the country is doing their best to portray the group as terrorists.
