We have to hand it to her, AOC knows how to get people talking.
Good or bad (always bad), right or wrong (always wrong), the socialist lawmaker has the media by the balls — and she knows it. Whether AOC is making waves on social media battling it out with Ted Cruz or Elon Musk or pretending to be arrested outside the Supreme Court, the girl knows how to pull a stunt!
It was indeed a stunt Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other far-left Democrats pulled on Tuesday when Capitol Police pretended to arrest the lawmakers as they protested for abortion rights outside of the Supreme Court building.
Capitol Police confirmed they had made 35 arrests, including 17 members of Congress, citing violations of laws against crowding, obstructing, or incommoding.

The group of progressive lawmakers staged a civil disobedience performance in protest of a recent Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, which empowered states to regulate the abortion procedure.
The stunt caused a social media firestorm, especially after videos of AOC’s “arrest” showed the socialist lawmaker pretending to be handcuffed as if she’s a civil rights hero on the front lines of battle.

Video footage of the stunt clearly shows AOC being escorted by police, but she was not detained with handcuffs or any other shackle for that matter. The New York Democrat was merely playing pretend, like Jussie Smollett did, to symbolize the act of being detained without actually having to experience it.
All for the cause!
Other lawmakers in attendance were: Reps. Carolyn Maloney, Nydia Velazquez, Jackie Speier, Bonnie Watson Coleman, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Alma Adams, Cori Bush, amongst others.

That’s about $1 million in taxpayer cash down the drain so private security could protect the ‘Squad’ as they pretend to risk their freedom for abortion rights.
One striking observation about this list of far-left lawmakers is the states from which they all come. With the exception of Rep. Cori Bush, who hails from Missouri, every lawmaker involved in the Supreme Court stunt on Tuesday represents a state with legalized abortion.
The stunt caused a massive stir on social media and the group of crisis actors was resolutely mocked in a bipartisan fashion, starting with Tucker Carlson’s hilarious monologue on Tuesday night.

Popular satirical ‘news’ outlet, Babylon Bee, also roasted AOC in a hilarious story about her so-called arrest.

Regardless of how you feel about the abortion issue, stunts like these are why AOC is a great addition to Congress — if not for the entertainment value alone!
