Disastrous ‘Plan’ To Lower Gas Prices Ends Tragically For America

How is this not grounds for impeachment? How is the Biden administration able to get away with such egregious crimes against its own people?

While the regime blames Vladimir Putin for the hardships related to high gas prices and wicked inflation, our adversaries in China are enjoying the fruits of Trump’s labor.

Joe Biden has officially depleted what’s left of America’s emergency oil reserves.

The U.S. emergency crude oil stockpile fell to its lowest point since 1985 last week, dropping to more than 469.9 million barrels, according to data from the U.S. Department of Energy.

President Joe Biden in March ordered the historic release of 1 million barrels per day of oil from the U.S. emergency stockpile in an effort to combat soaring gas prices, which climbed in June to a record-high national average of more than $5 per gallon.

Senior White House officials told reporters last week that the drawdowns have reduced gasoline prices in the United States by up to roughly 40 cents per gallon compared to what they would have been otherwise.

The Biden administration also announced steps last week to allow the purchase of oil under fixed-price contracts to help encourage stability and replenish near-term supply. That plan will likely take effect after fiscal year 2023, the White House said in a statement.

Since May, releases have averaged 880,000 barrels per day, according to DOE data.

The oil sales sparked criticism among some Republicans in recent weeks after the DOE noted Chinese state-owned gas giant Unipec on its list of 12 companies that it had awarded contracts to purchase Strategic Petroleum Reserve crude oil.

Some accused Biden of failing to act in the country’s best interests by selling to China, which has massively scaled up its imports of discounted Russian crude amid the country’s war in Ukraine.

The U.S. is legally required to sell crude oil to the highest bidder. Exceptions are granted only in very limited cases, such as selling to a sanctioned company.

The DOE notes on its website that once companies purchase the oil, the U.S. government has no authority to dictate where it is shipped.

Last fall, the U.S. authorized two separate releases of SPR oil to China, totaling a combined 4 million barrels in October and November.

Their willingness to break the law in so many other areas proves the Biden administration could very well stop the sale of U.S. oil to China. They will spy on American citizens, defy their constitutional rights, but when it comes to oil sales, Biden is strictly by the book!
