Democrats Enraged After DeSantis Puts An End To Their Tyranny Against Children

According to a recent announcement from Dr. Joseph Ladapo, who serves as Florida’s Surgeon General, the state will issue a formal recommendation against COVID vaccines for children who are healthy.

The announcement was made during a roundtable event that had been organized by Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. The event showcased a number of doctors who levied strong criticism against COVID lockdowns, alongside mandate policies in general.

At this point in time, it is not evident precisely when the state will release formal health guidance in this regard.

At the conclusion of the roundtable discussion, Ladapo noted that “theĀ Florida Department of Health is going to be the first state to officially recommend against the COVID-19 vaccines for healthy children.”

The Florida Surgeon General also added that it was somewhat “scraping at the bottom of the barrel,” in particular with health children, with regards to “actually being able to quantify with any accuracy and any confidence the even potential of benefit.”

Given this uncertainty, the state has opted to issue guidance recommending against COVID vaccines for children who are aged 5 to 11 years old.

Late in February, DeSantis and Ladapo also announced revised COVID policy recommendations, which included the discouragement of mask wearing. In addition, the guidance also suggested that doctors can use their own judgment when treating patients suffering from COVID, including the use of off-label medications and other novel treatments.

Ladapo was confirmed by the state senate as surgeon general, in spite of the criticism that he has received regarding his COVID health policies. Per critics, Ladapo demonstrates too much alignment with the anti-mandate and anti-lockdown policies that have governed DeSantis’s stewardship of the state.
